The deposit in the north of Spain
There have been countless legends throughout history that have told us about hidden treasures in the sea... But... What if it turns out that one of them is in a remote area of northern Spain? Welcome to the seafloor
Where is Lithothamnium algae found?
Lithothamnium Calcareum is found on the seafloor, in permanently submerged coastal areas, at a shallow depth (between 10 and 60 m). It is found in many seas, from the French coast of Brittany, Iceland, Norway, the United Kingdom and Galicia, to the Mediterranean coast, Brazil and Chile.
A unique deposit in the world
The Lithoalgas onshore deposit in northern Spain is the only known Lithoalgas reserve in the world where
harvesting in a fully sustainable manner is feasible.
It is a harmonious habitat where the Lithothamnium Calcareum is found in its purest state, remaining in its original form preserved from any alteration derived from the current state of the oceans, free of microplastics and other pollutants.
